This awakening ignited within her calling to cast her sails in building her own business...and so was birthed The Contracts Department, LLC.

Patty Koshak has the inquisitive nature, insider-perspective and innovative instincts to help you dive deep into the investigations needed to build the efficiencies and solutions that will help you overcome challenges and grow to your intended magnitude:

For over 20 years, Patty has lived and breathed commercial and government contracts, from her humble corporate beginnings as a Contracts Administrator, to planning and managing the federal procurement process for an $85M acquisition, to rising to become a Vice President of Contract Sales.

She has worked for federal government, higher educational institutions, and both small and large commercial organizations. Her experience with the GSA Schedules Program is extensive, from obtaining new Schedules to managing successful pre-award GSA OIG audits.

Well versed in managing small business programs, she has worked closely with purchasing personnel to ensure compliance of small business subcontracting plans; written and responded to RFPs; and been recruited to develop and build contracts departments resulting in significant increases in contract awards, renewals and sales.

Her experience is diverse by design – spanning across industries and facets of the contract acquisition and management process – allowing her to excel at contract acquisition, administration, and advancement.

From gaining momentum in initial contracts wins, to building contracts departments and opening up corporate communication, Patty has the solutions, strategies and results-orientation your team needs to succeed.

  • Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) by the NCMA National Contract Management Association.
  • Wrote RFPs, evaluated and negotiated to award for a DOE Laboratory - Led the acquisition including, writing RFPs, pre-proposal conferences, cost/price analysis, and negotiation to award through closeout.
  • Built profitable commercial contracts departments, including establishment of processes and policies.
  • Sales Rep and internal departments training expert.
  • Proficient in contracts inventory audit.
  • Accreditor and trainer in business certification.

  • Administer, manage, and maintain all contract records, including customer and subcontracts records.

  • Organize and maintain prime and subcontract contract records.

  • Prepare contract summaries and provide complete, current, and accurate data by reporting progress on contract activity and proposing recommendations for action/decision.

  • Create, review, and approve teaming agreements and NDAs.

  • Continual support for RFP responses to ensure compliance with RFP requirements.

  • Maintain up-to-date records in various federal databases, such as and CPARS
